Problem

Managing beach passes remotely

A council in Northern NSW contacted Vision Intelligence seeking a solution to monitor vehicular traffic and permit compliance for one of it’s key beaches. Environmental conservation and revenue collected from permits are areas of concern for residents and council.

Solution

Rapidly deployable ANPR

A V8 dual camera unit was installed at the entrance to the beach, paired with Vision Intelligence’s Command service offering. The fully solar-powered camera records 24 hours a day, detecting entry and exit movement, registration number, vehicle make and colour. The Command cloud-based analytics system delivers this information in a PDF report to the council on a daily basis. With the power of Vision Intelligence’s video analytics capability, number plates can be clearly identified at distance during day and night-time in low light conditions.
